Meet The Team

Heidi Bellamy - Director Email;

As the full time Director for Culture First, Heidi has responsibility for business management, programme development and communication of the network activities.  Heidi has 13 years experience in Local Authority and has managed a diverse team of staff and projects across a spectrum of service areas; Tourism, Economic Development & Regeneration, Arts & Heritage, Play, Events & Marketing, Sports Development and Active Citizenship.  Heidi is experienced in strategic planning and policy development, she has an MA in Cultural Leadership, is an Associate Fellow of the School for Social Entrepreneurs and is a recognised Shared Service Practitioner SS(PRAC).  Further skills include Action Learning Facilitation and delivery of training/bespoke workshops. 

Heidi also provides policy development services for the Chief Cultural Leisure Officers Association (cCLOA) and is leading on the national training and support programme for embedding use of the Outcomes Framework for Culture & Sport. 

Lisa Wright - Director Email;

Lisa has worked in the Lesiure sector since 1993 and has held a number of posts including Leisure & Cultural Services Manager for Rochford District Council.  Her roles have encompassed sports and arts development, heritage, tourism, play as well as managing a major leisure contract.  Lisa is experienced in engaging minority groups, contract procurement/new builds and performance management. Lisa also has significant practical operational Leisure Management experience, in both the public and private sector. Most recently Lisa has been project managing the Hadleigh Farm Legacy project, creating a lasting public legacy from the Olympic Mountain Biking venue in Essex. Lisa has been involved in various strategic groups: Essex 2012 Strategic Board, Building Schools for the Future Development Board and she was the Chair of the Essex Association of Chief Leisure Officers.  Lisa is a recognised Shared Services Practitioner SS(Prac), an Action Learning Facilitator and experienced CSIT (Culture & Sport Improvement Toolkit) facilitator.


Jane Wilson - Director Email;

Jane is Chief Executive of ADeC, an arts development charity with 8 full time equivalent employees and over 40 volunteers. She is also Chair of Arts Development UK, a member of the National Culture Forum and the Culture in Planning Alliance, and works closely with Arts Council England and DCMS colleagues. Jane is currently a PhD student (part time) with the Open University sociology department and even finds time to help run Strawberry Fair, a large scale, one day, volunteer run, outdoor music and arts festival held on Midsummer Common, Cambridge. Jane is an Affiliate of the Centre for Research on Socio-Cultural Change (CRESC).
