As the full time Director for Culture First, Heidi has responsibility for business management, programme development and communication of the network activities. Heidi has 13 years experience in Local Authority and has managed a diverse team of staff and projects across a spectrum of service areas; Tourism, Economic Development & Regeneration, Arts & Heritage, Play, Events & Marketing, Sports Development and Active Citizenship.
Heidi is experienced in strategic planning and policy development, she has an MA in Cultural Leadership and is an Associate Fellow of the School for Social Entrepreneurs. Heidi is also a recognised Shared Service Practitioner SS(PRAC) and is equipped with a range of tools and techniques to drive forward and support collaboration.
With a keen interest in how collaboration can transform the sector, Heidi was instrumental in the development of CS3, a culture and sport consortium across Cambridgeshire and Suffolk and she is now a Trustee. Further skills include Action Learning Facilitation and delivery of training/bespoke workshops.
A core contract that Heidi leads on behalf of Culture First is the provision of business support and policy development services for the Chief Cultural Leisure Officers Association (cCLOA). With this broad based knowledge and a clear national perspective, Heidi was recently invited to join CIPFA’s expert editorial panel for culture and leisure.

Having worked in the Leisure sector since the early 1990's, Lisa has held a number of posts ranging from development officer to Leisure & Cultural Services Manager. She has significant experience in sports and arts development, heritage, tourism, play as well as contract development and monitoring. Lisa is experienced in engaging minority groups, contract procurement/new builds and performance management. Lisa also has significant practical operational Leisure Management experience, in both the public and private sector. Lisa was the project manager of the Hadleigh Farm Legacy project; the project aimed at creating a lasting public legacy from the Olympic Mountain Biking venue in Essex. Most recently Lisa has been working with Active Life & Legacy Leisure to deliver a project in Southend that aims to increase activity levels of women and girls working with public health and businesses to develop a model of workplace activity in non-traditional settings. Lisa has been involved in various strategic groups: Essex 2012 Strategic Board, Building Schools for the Future Development Board and she was the Chair of the Essex Association of Chief Leisure Officers. Lisa is a recognised Shared Services Practitioner SS(Prac), an Action Learning Facilitator and experienced CSIT (Culture & Sport Improvement Toolkit) facilitator.

Jane is currently Arts & Events Manager at Cambridge City Council, having previously been Chief Executive of ADeC, an arts development charity. She is also Chair of Arts Development UK, and Chair of the National Culture & Leisure Forum, so works closely with Arts Council England and DCMS/LGA colleagues on cultural policy. Jane is currently a PhD student (part time) with the Open University sociology department and even finds time to help run Strawberry Fair, a large scale, one day, volunteer run, outdoor music and arts festival held on Midsummer Common, Cambridge. Jane is an Affiliate of the Centre for Research on Socio-Cultural Change (CRESC).
