The social impact of participation in culture and sport inquiry

The inquiry will investigate ways in which taking part in the arts, cultural activities and sport can have a positive impact on health, community and education.

The evidence submitted reflects on the five inquiry themes: social mobility; health; crime reduction; education; and community engagement and diversity - 235 representations have been made so far.

The enquiry will also pose provocative questions including whether the sports sector has been better for social mobility than the arts.  You can read the written evidence here and watch the first session here @parliamentlive.tv
